The annual festivity of Epiphany that the Orthodox Churches celebrate at the Qasr Al Yehud baptismal site in the
Jordan River. The believers use to perform the ritual immersion in the river waters because, accord to the oldest tradition, this is the place where Jesus got baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. The site is also considered to be the place where the Israelites crossed the Jordan when they enter the land of Canaan. Israel 2013
